In the past The Arts Society Turners Hill were pleased to be able to offer sponsorships to students at West Dean College.  Each year, we joined with other Sussex Arts Societies to identify an outstanding student to receive sponsorship.  West Dean College specialises in the preservation and restoration of artefacts such as manuscripts, including books, ceramics, clocks and watches, metalwork, furniture, musical instruments and building conservation.  Increasingly there is a shortage of skilled conservators in the heritage sector, and most are now required to have a specialist postgraduate qualification before finding employment.  Sponsorship helps ensure a flow of new talent into heritage conservation.

To see the final report of our sponsored student, Hollie Drinkwater, go to OUR SOCIETY and then DOCUMENTS.

To see the  report of our sponsored student, Andrew Braund, go to OUR SOCIETY and then DOCUMENTS.
