| TOURS GENERAL Future tours to be advised |
These group tours are organised by the East Grinstead Arts Society (TASEG), and all members of the Turners Hill Arts Society are very welcome – in fact, encouraged – to join. They usually take the form of a Spring holiday in the UK, and a Continental visit in the Autumn, each consisting of 5 days, travelling by coach in this country, visiting Cities and their environs, taking in stately homes, museums and galleries, places of worship, and any particular sites of interest in the area – for example, when staying near Glasgow we visited the moored Royal Yacht and the Falkirk Wheel, and when in Durham, included Hadrian’s Wall and the Bowes Museum. We also include Cruises, taking the place of some Continental holidays, for approximately two weeks, such as our successful September 2019 venture, crossing the Adriatic from Venice to Athens. In 2012 we sailed round the British Isles, ending moored up the Thames, from where we were able to watch the Queen’s Diamond Celebrations alongside the Royal Barge, a memorable occasion! An annual visit to the Glyndebourne Touring Opera Company, by coach, at Glyndebourne before they go off on tour, is another occasion to welcome Turners Hill Members. |
